How to stop The Guardian training AI on your data
What the policy itself says, plan by plan. Where The Guardian publishes the steps, they're here in its own words, read from an archived copy of the page that gives them. Where it doesn't, this page says so instead of inventing a menu path.

The admission is unusually direct for a newspaper: generative AI is used "in our software and systems, including in our use of personal data". Having said that, the policy sends the reader elsewhere — to a separate statement of generative AI principles — rather than settling the question here. "Train" does not appear in the document in any form. So a reader learns that AI touches their data and not whether their data builds the AI.
