Data and API
Everything the site publishes is available as files. No keys, no sign-up, no rate limit beyond good manners.
Feeds
Every verdict: slug, name, category, homepage, overall grade, confidence, headline, whether it trains by default, whether the opt-out is paywalled, the date last checked. For each plan, its grade, exposure score, default state and the route out (none, a toggle, a support ticket or a paid plan). Also what is trained on, whether people read it, whether the policy claims to strip identity first, whether the exit is sold, and the jurisdiction the quoted clause applies to. The score-to-letter bands are in the file too, so a score can be read without a second request. Versioned; fields are added, never removed.
Every policy change on record: the company, the document, the two archived copies it sits between, the days between them, the number of paragraphs changed and which families of wording moved.
The verdict as a small image: grade, band and the date last checked. It exists for every entry and always shows the current grade. The embed snippet is offered on A and B pages.
Freshness and access
The files are regenerated on every build, usually several times a week and always when a verdict changes, and are cached at the edge for five minutes. They are served with open cross-origin headers, so a page on another site can fetch them directly. If you need the whole archive of captured documents instead of the derived data, write to contact@isittrainingonme.com.
Terms
- — The grades, headlines and change records are free to reuse, including commercially, with a link to the entry they came from.
- — The quoted clauses are the companies' own words and stay theirs. Quote them as quotations, with the company named.
- — A grade is a reading of a document on a date. If you republish one, republish the date beside it, because policies move and so do grades.
- — Don't present the data as your own measurement, and don't strip the UNCLEAR grade into "no": it means the document doesn't say.
What a grade is, and the right of reply behind every adverse one, are on the terms page.
