This is an extract from an archived copy, fetched 21 September 2026. Snap didn't author this page for us. It's a snapshot we captured from https://help.snapchat.com/hc/en-us/articles/25494876770580-Generative-AI-on-Snapchat. We hold the whole page and publish this part of it: the sentence a verdict rests on, with the text either side, so you can see it hasn't been lifted out of an exception.
The passage, in context
Snap may use the images, videos, audio, and text content that you have posted publicly on Snapchat (such as posts to Spotlight, Public Stories, and the Snap Map) to develop, train, and improve Snap's generative AI content creation models. This may include a combination of automated and human review of this public content. In Settings, you can opt out of allowing Snap to use your public content for these purposes. If you opt out, Snap will no longer use your public content to develop, train, or improve Snap's generative AI content creation models going forward, but opting out does not affect training that has already taken place.

Checking the rest of it
The complete page is kept here and isn't republished. It's Snap's copyrighted document, and an extract is what a reader needs to check a quotation. The SHA-256 above is of that whole snapshot: fetch the page yourself, hash it, and you can tell whether ours has been altered without having to trust us.
If you work for Snap, or you are researching this and need the full capture, ask us for it and we will send it. If you believe a quote here is wrong or out of date, send us the paragraph. The correction gets published beside the clause.
