How to stop Fathom training AI on your data
What the policy itself says, plan by plan. Where Fathom publishes the steps, they're here in its own words, read from an archived copy of the page that gives them. Where it doesn't, this page says so instead of inventing a menu path.
All plans
Where Fathom says the switch is, in its own words. Each list is read from a dated, archived copy of the page it links to. Menus move. If a step is out of date, tell us at the foot of this page.
- Open your account settings (Fathom's Trust Center calls them User Settings, at fathom.video/customize).
- Turn off the use of your data to improve Fathom's models.
"You can opt out from this use of your data in your account settings."
Fathom doesn't name the toggle. Its Trust Center says Organization Settings can switch it off for every user on Team Edition.
- An organisation admin opens Organization Settings.
- Opt out every user on the account there; the Trust Center says this covers all users.
"Organizations on Team Edition can opt out all users on their account by going to Organization Settings."
The same FAQ answer says the use is of de-identified customer data and that the AI sub-processors (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) are contractually barred from training on it.
"Based on how you configure your account settings, we may use and create de-identified data generated from Meeting Content Information to improve our Service by training, improving, and customizing our in-house artificial intelligence models."
Did a step here not work, or does Fathom offer a control this page doesn't mention? Tell us and we'll correct it.
