How to stop Figma training AI on your data
What the policy itself says, plan by plan. Where Figma publishes the steps, they're here in its own words, read from an archived copy of the page that gives them. Where it doesn't, this page says so instead of inventing a menu path.
Starter and Professional
Where Figma says the switch is, in its own words. Each list is read from a dated, archived copy of the page it links to. Menus move. If a step is out of date, tell us at the foot of this page.
- From the file browser, open your team and click All Folders in the left sidebar.
- Open the menu next to your team name and choose View settings.
- Go to the Settings tab and scroll to the AI section.
- Select Manage AI settings.
- Toggle Content training off.

Team admins only. Figma says new content and edits stop being used once it's off.
- From the file browser, open your team and click Admin in the left sidebar.
- Open the Settings tab and scroll to the AI section.
- Select Manage AI settings and toggle Content training off.

"For Starter and Professional, content training is set to 'on' by default - admins can opt out"
Organization and Enterprise
Nothing to switch off: Figma's policy says training is off here.
"By default, content training is turned off on Organization and Enterprise plans."
Children's accounts (K12 education)
Nothing to switch off: Figma's policy says training is off here.
"Figma does not use personal information collected from Children to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop or improve any AI services, (nor will we permit our service providers to do so) including large language models."
