Where necessary, we will implement appropriate safeguards to transfer personal data to specific countries, including for one or more of the purposes set forth in this policy, and will comply with applicable data protection law requirements. Cross-border transfer safeguards When we transfer your personal data outside the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, we ensure that the data receives an adequate level of protection through the following means: We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide services to you and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When determining the retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data; the potential risks of unauthorized use or disclosure; the purposes for processing the data; whether those purposes can be achieved by other means; and applicable legal and regulatory requirements. In certain circumstances, we may need to continue retaining your personal data after your account has been deleted. The specific retention period depends on the nature of the personal data, the reasons for its collection and processing, and the nature of the legal requirements. For example, we will retain your personal data when there is a legal obligation, such as a court order, or to handle complaints and litigation or regulatory matters, such as when a legal dispute is pending. To the extent permitted by law, we may also retain and use your personal data as necessary to fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. We establish and maintain a data retention management program that sets retention periods or criteria for determining those periods based on different categories of data. We delete or de-identify personal data when it is no longer needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless applicable law requires or permits continued retention. When we no longer have a legitimate need or legal reason to retain your personal data, we will securely delete or anonymize it so that it can no longer be associated with you. We use commercially reasonable organizational, technical, and physical security measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Specific measures include encrypting your personal data in transit and at rest; developing and implementing an information security program in accordance with standard industry frameworks; deploying advanced malware protection measures; and implementing other reasonable security safeguards, including vulnerability management, access management, and recovery and resilience measures. However, given the inherent nature of technological and operational risks, no security measure can guarantee absolute security. Data transmitted over the internet or any wireless network cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.
