This is an extract from an archived copy, fetched 10 September 2026. Box didn't author this page for us. It's a snapshot we captured from https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/45720614801171-Box-AI-Frequently-Asked-Questions. We hold the whole page and publish this part of it: the sentence a verdict rests on, with the text either side, so you can see it hasn't been lifted out of an exception.
The passage, in context
No. Box's model providers do not train on any data that they receive from Box. Box also does not train AI models based on customer data. This is a critical pillar to our AI principles and for our customers to know that it is safe to use AI without worrying their data will be leaked into a model and released. Note that in the future, customers may wish to have custom-trained AI models based on some of their content, but if Box releases this type of feature, the customer will explicitly approve that they want this type of trained model.
Checking the rest of it
The complete page is kept here and isn't republished. It's Box's copyrighted document, and an extract is what a reader needs to check a quotation. The SHA-256 above is of that whole snapshot: fetch the page yourself, hash it, and you can tell whether ours has been altered without having to trust us.
If you work for Box, or you are researching this and need the full capture, ask us for it and we will send it. If you believe a quote here is wrong or out of date, send us the paragraph. The correction gets published beside the clause.
