Does Strong train on your data?
Strong's privacy policy never mentions AI, machine learning or model training. Its only use of the word "training" means weights and reps.
The policy is short and unusually plain, and on this question it is silent. "Artificial intelligence", "machine learning", "algorithm" and "model" do not appear in it at all, and the single occurrence of "training" is "training information such as your workout activity data" — the sport, not the software. What the document does say about ownership is firmer than most: "We consider this to be your data." That is a good sentence, and it still does not say whether a model is trained on it.

How to opt out of Strong AI training
Plan by plan, from what Strong's own policy says about refusing. Where it publishes the steps, they're listed here with the limits they carry. Where there's nothing to switch off, or nothing graded, this says so instead of inventing a menu path.
All accounts
Not graded, so no route is pointed at.
What this policy has done since we started watching
The record starts here. Strong's policy was first captured on 29 Aug 2026, and there's no earlier copy to compare it against, so this verdict has no history behind it yet. From now on every re-read is diffed against that copy, and anything that moves appears here.

Vendor response
We wrote to Strong on 31 Aug 2026, quoting the clauses above and inviting a correction. Nothing has come back. That's published because a company declining to comment on its own policy is something a reader should know, and because the invitation should be on the record whether or not it's taken up. Any reply goes here, word for word.
