Does Ideogram train on your data?
Ideogram trains the models behind its image generator on your data. The clause sits mid-list among housekeeping purposes, and declining means invoking a right you "may have".

How we read it: Placement matters here. The training purpose is buried mid-list between "system maintenance, reporting" and "providing customer support" — the kind of sentence a reader skims past, and the least prominent framing on this site for one of the more consequential permissions. Corrected 19 Aug 2026: this page said no control was named anywhere in the capture, which was wrong. Ideogram puts "User Input and other information you submit" under legitimate interest for improving its products and technology, then offers an objection right over that processing — written as something you "may have the right to" do, with no test for who does.

What the document does offer
- "We use User Input and other information you submit to the Services because it is in our legitimate interest to administer and improve the Services and improve and develop our products and technology"
- "Objection. You may have the right to object to our processing of personal information"
- "Restriction of Processing. You may have the right to ask us to stop, suspend or restrict our processing"
- opt out of Google Analytics tracking, via a browser plug-in
- opt out of marketing emails, via the unsubscribe instructions
Why none of it applies: The first two join up: Ideogram puts User Input under legitimate interest for improving its products, and grants an objection right over its processing. That is a route, so this is D rather than F. Both rights are phrased as ones you "may have", with no statement of who does, so a reader cannot tell from this document whether it is theirs.

How to opt out of Ideogram AI training
Plan by plan, from what Ideogram's own policy says about refusing. Where it publishes the steps, they're listed here with the limits they carry. Where there's nothing to switch off, or nothing graded, this says so instead of inventing a menu path.

What this policy has done since we started watching
The record starts here. Ideogram's policy was first captured on 14 Aug 2026, and there's no earlier copy to compare it against, so this verdict has no history behind it yet. From now on every re-read is diffed against that copy, and anything that moves appears here.
