Does N26 train on your data?
N26's policy has a section on its AI systems: fraud, credit risk, support, personalisation and "to improve our products and services". It never says whether any of them is trained on you.
This clause is real, but it doesn't resolve the training question - see the finding below.
"Personalization, insights, and product optimization: supporting the analysis of customer interactions, transaction data, and product usage data to provide insights, recommendations, or personalized information within the N26 App and to improve our products and services."

Why this is still UNCLEAR: N26 publishes its privacy policy only as a PDF per country; the English version for German accounts (Version 11.7, dated 3 September 2026) was saved by hand on 6 September and converted to text for this site. It carries a section, "Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems", that says AI systems "support decision-making, automate individual processing steps, or assist with analysis, classification, or prediction tasks" across risk and compliance, creditworthiness, customer support, personalisation and product optimisation, operations and security. That is data going into AI systems, described carefully. Whether any model is trained on it is not said: no form of "train", "model" or "machine learning" appears in the 29 pages. Unresolved rather than inferred.

How to opt out of N26 AI training
Plan by plan, from what N26's own policy says about refusing. Where it publishes the steps, they're listed here with the limits they carry. Where there's nothing to switch off, or nothing graded, this says so instead of inventing a menu path.

What this policy has done since we started watching
No change detected. We've held a copy of N26's policy since 30 Aug 2026 and re-read it since, across 2 captures. The text hasn't moved in a way that touches this verdict. That's a fact about the document, and it's only knowable by having kept the earlier copies.
