This clause is real, but it doesn't resolve the training question - see the finding below.

Why this is still UNCLEAR: Gong's product is the recording and analysis of sales conversations, so the material is other people's speech, captured at work. The policy lists improving the Services "through the utilization and optimization of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities" as a purpose, on a legitimate-interest basis. Optimising a capability is what training accomplishes, but the document does not say the two are the same thing here, and it never uses the word: its single "train" is Gong training its own customers and staff. The gap between optimising a model and training one on the calls is exactly what a person recorded on a Gong call cannot resolve from this document.

How to opt out of Gong AI training

Plan by plan, from what Gong's own policy says about refusing. Where it publishes the steps, they're listed here with the limits they carry. Where there's nothing to switch off, or nothing graded, this says so instead of inventing a menu path.

Not graded, so no route is pointed at. Gong's product is the recording and analysis of sales conversations, so the material is other people's speech, captured at work.
