Does Copy.ai train on your data?
Copy.ai's security page says "We don't train on your data": your prompts and ideas are not used to train its models. The privacy policy leaves the question to that page.
No opt-out found in this policy

How we read it: Resolved from UNCLEAR on 10 September 2026. The privacy policy still contains no form of "train"; the answer is on Copy.ai's security page, a marketing page rather than a policy, which is why the confidence is medium. The hedge is "individual": a promise not to train on your individual data leaves aggregated or de-identified use unaddressed, and nothing on the page says whether either happens. B rather than A because it is an undertaking about what the models are trained on, not a statement that Copy.ai cannot read what you type. Copy.ai was written to on 21 August 2026 about the silence and did not reply; the sentence was on its own site.

How to opt out of Copy.ai training
Plan by plan, from what Copy.ai's own policy says about refusing. Where it publishes the steps, they're listed here with the limits they carry. Where there's nothing to switch off, or nothing graded, this says so instead of inventing a menu path.
All accounts
Nothing to switch off: Copy.ai's policy says training is off here.
What this policy has done since we started watching
The record starts here. Copy.ai's 2 documents were first captured on 14 Aug 2026, and there's no earlier copy to compare them against, so this verdict has no history behind it yet. From now on every re-read is diffed against those copies, and anything that moves appears here.
Vendor response
We wrote to Copy.ai on 21 Aug 2026, quoting the clauses above and inviting a correction. Nothing has come back. That's published because a company declining to comment on its own policy is something a reader should know, and because the invitation should be on the record whether or not it's taken up. Any reply goes here, word for word.
